Called to setup an inspection for my van on Friday evening and when we arrived Sat morning the guy says $150 for a NYS inspection and it has to be cash, the inspection cost is $47 as per NYS website of what an inspection should cost. Then he says I will make sure it will pass because you have a diesel vehicle and that isn't easy. I told him the van is a 2024, like why wouldn't it pass? I said no way and he goes good luck getting your car to pass inspection (sarcastically of course). We ended up going elsewhere and got it done for the NYS price. ** Note to self make sure you get a full breakdown and get the price before you bring your vehicle here. Such a simple transaction which cost less than $50 but they want to charge me $150 cash. Makes you wonder what other items that they jack up the price on? This is shady practice if you ask me, they must think I was born yesterday or that I was some gullible individual that they could scam and pull a fast on BE WARNED ~! I came in with a flashing check engine light, and the technician was genuinely helpful. He took the time to accurately diagnose the issue—a valve body replacement—and explained everything clearly. His $2,000 quote (including valve body, fluid, and labor) was fair, but the shop's pricing is on the high side compared to competitors in the area. I ended up going elsewhere for a better deal, but I'd recommend this shop if price isn't your main concern. The expertise and customer service are solid.

This is the best shop around Queens. This guys are high tech. They know what they doing. Over 15 years they fix all my cars with no problem. Best prices. Highly Recommended!!!!

Before going, I made sure to call and ask if they offer PPI for used cars.. Went for prepurchase inspection (PPI). All he did was put it the lift & checked underneath. No: -road test (even if i road tested it, its part of the job.. I'm willing to pay) - didn't check the interior - didn't check anything, only used the cheapest handheld autel that only check DTC'S (I have a more advanced one, with bi directional functionality myself & I'm just a hobbyist) - didn't check the cooling system (it's 13 years old) - didn't check engine oil or atf at all - didn't check all systems separately, i.e. TCU other modules etc.. looking at live data and comparing to correct tolerances Charged $95- which if that's the price to raise the car only, SAY SO.. but DON'T dress it up as a PPI, I made a HUGE mistake mentioning I previously owned one. Yes i know the car but that's irrelevant. I only agreed to the gtfo there asap after seeing he's just lifting it. Otherwise respectful, but I could tell he didn't want to do a complete PPI with a report and everything (again, willing to pay for it, usually around $140-$160 but they take 90 minutes with the car). We spend 15 minutes just inspecting underneath.
